All knowing Heavenly Father, I come before You through the Name of Your Son Jesus Christ to bring You praise and thanksgiving for Your ways of perfection and Your flawless plans. I stand in awe of You, that there is no knowledge or wisdom apart from You. You are the source of all knowledge and the center of all understanding. Thank you for the blessing of allowing me to know You on a personal level and for You knowing everything about me. Verses 1-2:O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.” It is awesome that You know me so well that You even know my thoughts and my words before they come out of my mouth.

As a person I look at the outward appearance, but You as God look at the inward parts of my mind and heart. Verse 4:For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O LORD, You know it altogether.” Thank you for making it clear in Your Word (the Bible) that I didn’t just happen at birth. You had detailed plans for me way before I was born. Verses 13 and 16a:For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb…. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.

It is a great blessing that Your love for me transcends the bounds of time and space. What a privilege it is as a believer in Jesus Christ to be enveloped by Your love, not by the merits of what I have done, but what Christ has done on my behalf.

Thank you for this beautiful, comforting Scripture You have provided. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, I come to You through the Name of Jesus as one of Your beloved children. What a blessing it is to be called a child of Yours. Galatians 3:26For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” Despite any label I may receive here on Earth, nothing is more important and humbling than to be part of Your family. You treat me as a son or daughter of the King and extend every familial right and privilege to me. Galatians 4:7Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Thank you for being quick to forgive and loving enough to pursue me through my sins and failures. You want what is best for me and do not shy away from loving correction in order to train me in what is good, right, and holy. Hebrews 12:11Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

When I am down, discouraged, or lonely, remind me of the privilege to be called a child of God and of the all-encompassing love that comes with being Your child. Psalm 119:114You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your Word.

Thank you for the little song that expresses it all: “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so.” Amen.

Loving Father, I come in in the Name of Your Son Jesus to give You praise and thanks for the blessing of new life in Christ. Through my spiritual rebirth I have become a new creation. I no longer have to live under the weight of sin, but can live in righteousness. Romans 6:11Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” I appreciate that now that Christ is living in me, I can have Your life flow through me, and Your love and power will completely engulf my previous life. 2 Corinthians 5:17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” I ask for forgiveness for the times I find myself asking for Your power or strength like it is far away instead of acknowledging that Your power and love is already dwelling within me by the means of the Holy Spirit.

Your Holy Spirit is alive in me and gives me access to immeasurable power and wisdom. Teach me to depend on Your strength and adequacy, and not my own inadequacy. It is You alone that provides the framework from which I have the privilege to extend Your love to others and show them Your love and great power. Thank you that when I am tempted to think or do wrong by the enemy of my soul, I can quote Your Word to him and remind him that my life is now based on all that is encompassed in Galatians 2:20. “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Thank you for allowing me to bring this prayer in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
