Heavenly Father, I come to You in Jesus’ Name to reflect on the impact my mother has had on my life. Thank you for the ways she has shown the love of Christ to me. If your relationship with your mother is negative, thank God for the ways she has shown you the limits of human love in comparison to God’s perfect love. Though Romans 3:23 says “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,Psalm 136:1b reassures that “[Your] steadfast love endures forever” (ESV).

I appreciate all the contributions my mother makes or has made to myself and my family. Direct me to be more intentional about expressing my gratitude to her, and also about expressing my gratitude to You for the role she plays in my life. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

For all the mothers I know, I ask that You develop strong character in them, so that “her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.Proverbs 31:28 And for those whose mothers have abandoned them or treated them poorly, remind them of Isaiah 49:15. “‘Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I [God] will not forget you.’

Whatever feelings this Mother’s Day evokes for me, direct me to rely fully on You with those feelings. I believe that You are good, and I choose to trust You regarding my relationship with her. If your mother is deceased, pray and ask God for joyful remembrances.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Using Valentine’s Day 2023 as a Reminder to Praise and Thank God for His Love (Based on 1 John 4:8)

Loving Heavenly Father, I come in Jesus’ Name to acknowledge before You that love is central to who You are. In fact, 1 John 4:8 says that “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” You have shown love to humanity many times throughout history, and to me in my own life. Thank you for the following ways You have revealed Your love to me: (list your own experiences here).

I praise and thank You for the way You love me unconditionally. When I chose to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and to follow Him, I became Your child, assuring me of an eternal home in Heaven. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” As Your child, what Paul wrote in Romans 8:38-39 is true for me as well. “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This Valentine’s Day, remind me not only of Your love for me, but also that it is designed to be extended to others. All of my actions should be “rooted and grounded in love,” as Ephesians 3:17b says. Direct me to follow Your command in 1 John 4:11Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Thank you for Your perfect love. To You be all honor, glory, and praise. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

P.S. These prayers will only work if you have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. If you need help understanding God’s plan of salvation for you (the way to Heaven), go to this page on our site: https://timewithourcreator.com/2016/06/02/salvation/

A Christmas Message

Merry Christmas and a blessed new year, from all of us at Time With Our Creator! It is a blessing to have you follow us on our prayer blog.

Jesus, the greatest gift to the world: Luke 2:6-7So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

2022 Thanksgiving Prayer for All Times

Giving Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ Name, thank you for the truth in Psalm 100:3Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.” Because of who You are, I can respond to You with faith, reverence, and gratitude instead of fear and anxiety. Direct me to do Psalm 100:4-5. “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.

You have given me so much to be thankful for, even when my circumstances seem grim. Give me the eyes and desire to see You at work no matter what is going on in my life and the world. This Thanksgiving holiday, I am grateful to You for the following spiritual and physical things: ___________. James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Show me how to have giving thanks be an integral part of my relationship with You and my interactions with others. Ephesians 5:18b-20be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Direct me to carry this attitude beyond the holiday of Thanksgiving into my daily life.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

God’s Providential Comfort

Lord Almighty, I come through the Name of Your Son Jesus to thank You for the privilege of being able to come to Your mighty throne of grace and be comforted. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort” 2 Corinthians 1:3.

Lord, You are the God of all comfort and You alone give us reassurance in difficult situations. In the time of need, remind me of Matthew 11:28-29, “come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give You rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Lord, lead me to paths of righteousness in my time of need. Lead me to Scriptures, music and fellowship opportunities that exalt Your Name and encourage me to live for You. Teach me to draw comfort from You. And finally, enable me to share that same comfort You have given me with those You have put in my own realm of influence, such as my friends, children, and grandchildren. “[God], who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.2 Corinthians 1:4.

It is in the precious Name of Jesus I come, Amen.

God’s Gift to Mankind

We have had many new followers since the start of our blog. Therefore, we are posting the plan of salvation again. The prayer of salvation is the first step required to having God hear all other prayers.

______________________

Welcome to the “Salvation” page. The decision you make about the following information is the most important decision you will ever make in your life.

The Bible tells us:

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

Fortunately for us, God has provided the answer to our sin:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”‘ John 14:6

By sending His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross, God has provided a way for us to have a relationship with Him. A relationship with God is our only way off the path of destruction and onto the path of righteousness that leads to Heaven. This relationship allows us to have the joy of the Lord in our hearts in this life “…for the joy of the LORD is your strength” Nehemiah 8:10.

In order to receive God’s grace, You must do what He instructs in Acts 16:31 “So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved…”

If you desire to become a child of God, pray a prayer similar to this one with faith in the truth of what God’s Word teaches about salvation:

Lord Jesus, I invite You to come into my heart. I recognize that I am a sinner, incapable of saving myself. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I choose now to follow and obey You as the Lord of my life and to turn away from my sin. I place my trust in You as my only Savior and my only way to salvation and I ask You to forgive me of my sins. Thank you, Jesus, for coming into my life and making me new. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” John 1:12

“He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:12-13

According to God’s Word, you are now a Christian and a believer. To grow as God’s child, start by reading the Bible (begin with the book of John). Develop your personal prayer life and seek out fellowship with other believers in a Bible-teaching church.

May the Lord bless you as you go forward in your walk with Him.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”  2 Corinthians 5:17
