Father, I offer to You thanksgiving and praise that You sent Your only begotten Son into the world so that my children and grandchildren and I might live through Him. Thank you for rescuing our souls from eternal death and keeping us from constantly failing.
“Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful. The LORD preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.” Psalm 116:5-8
I bring my children and grandchildren to You and ask that You would give each of them the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the understanding of You and Your Word.
Direct them to be strong enough to refuse to fall into the ways of the foolish. I ask that You give my children and grandchildren the ability to discern between good and evil, holy and unholy and right and wrong.
Give them revelation that fills their mind and heart with a vision for their life that opens their eyes to what your purpose and calling is for them. Encourage them to be guided by that revelation so “…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,” Ephesians 1:17.
I ask and pray these things to You, my God, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41
Thank you, Lord, for Your promise that You will never allow us to be tempted beyond what we can handle (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Help my children and grandchildren to be vigilant and aware of the ever-present temptations in their lives. If any are getting close to the dangerous territory of temptation and sin, have the Holy Spirit make it loud and clear to them that they need to seek protection immediately.
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16
Lord, keep my loved ones constantly aware of what the Bible says about our bodies and remind them that we should not make provisions for the flesh. “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19
Through the Biblical example of Samson in Judges 16:15-22, teach them what happens when we give in to temptation. Father, help them not to be like Samson; give them the strength to resist temptation and the eyes to see evil in whatever form it takes.
Thank you for providing a way for all of us to overcome: “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” Psalm 50:15
I humbly come in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Galatians 5:16 “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
Heavenly Father, thank you for the joy and blessing of children and grandchildren; that through intercessory prayer I can be involved in their spiritual growth and development regardless of their age or location.
I ask that every day You will help my loved ones to walk under the control of the Holy Spirit and not to fulfill the lust of the flesh. Open their eyes to see the truth in Your Word and encourage them to be willing to listen to the direction You have for them in every situation. May their life be lived for You.
If there is any sin or rebellion in their life, I pray that You would create in them a heart of repentance: the kind of heart that is humble and turned towards You.
Since not one of us can know God’s ways without reading His Word, I pray that You will give my children and grandchildren a desire and love for it (Psalm 19:7-14).
Thank you for reminding me that You want to do, and can do, far more for my family than I ever could. Therefore, I ask You to speak to them by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
I bring these requests to You in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
