Encouraging Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ Name, with all the evil, discouraging news and hatred in the world, thank you for providing hope for me, a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. This hope has been made available because of Jesus dying on the cross and being resurrected from death. 1 Peter 1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

It is a blessing that You have a long-term plan for my life, regardless of what my immediate circumstances might be. With You there are no hopeless situations.  Jeremiah 29:11 “‘For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.‘”  Thank you for sharing that it is only by trusting and following the process for spiritual growth and development as laid out in Your Word, the Bible, that I can be assured of the hope You have promised for my future.

Because I am limited in my abilities and vulnerable while living in this world, it is a blessing to read Your promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9b. “‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’” Direct me away from the danger of the misplaced hopes of the world that keep me from anchoring myself in You. Continually show me that my hope is based on my relationship with You. Give me confidence in Your promise that You are working for my ultimate good in all things, especially those I don’t understand. Romans 8:28 tells me, “and we know that all things work together [illness, problems, failure, betrayal, etc.] for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose..” Strengthen my hope in You as I read Your Word, pray, believe who You say You are, and worship with fellow believers.

 In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

P.S. These prayers will only work if you have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. If you need help understanding God’s plan of salvation for you (the way to Heaven), go to this page on our site: https://timewithourcreator.com/2016/06/02/salvation/

Hope in the Lord During These Very Uncertain Times (Based on Romans 8:22-29)

Heavenly Father, I come to You in Jesus’ Name to thank You for the hope expressed in Your Word, the Bible, about my future. As a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, I am pleased with the comfort and blessing of the following quote: “I don’t know what the future holds but I know the One who holds the future.” However, I am also grateful for the many absolutes You have recorded in the Bible. Because of Your love for me and You being all powerful, there is nothing that can separate me from You and Your many attributes. In Romans 8:38-39 the Apostle Paul wrote: “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Thank you that another absolute that I can rely on is that when this life is over, I will be in Heaven with You. You tell me in the Bible that Jesus is preparing a place for all who have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. In John 14:2, Jesus said, “in My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

It is a great encouragement and gives me much hope to know that You know my future, and that all the plans You have for me are good. If I have some pain or hardship, You will see me through to the conclusion. Direct me to put my hope and trust in Your promise in Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and hope.” Thank you for these encouraging Scriptures. Amen.
