Thanking God for the Opportunity for a Strong and Personal Relationship with Him (Based on Isaiah 54:5)

Loving Heavenly Father, I come in the Name of Jesus to give You praise and thanks for the strong, loving relationship You have offered me. In Your Word (the Bible), You describe Your relationship with me in marital terms. But as intimate as the marriage relationship is, it does not compare to my relationship with You, my Heavenly Father. What a privilege it is to be truly and deeply loved by You and called, through the Church, the bride of Christ. Isaiah 54:5 “For your Maker is your husband, the LORD of hosts is His name; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.”

What an amazing gift it is to be able to have a complete sense of belonging to You. Thank you for expressing in Your Word that You consider me a friend. Through this relationship, You reveal the plans, desires, and commitments You have for me. What a blessing it is that You enjoy spending time with me after salvation.

Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” It is encouraging that You want to go much deeper than just sharing a meal. Your plan is for me to allow You to transform my life. Since I am a child of Yours (a born-again believer) I ask You to shape me into the perfect bride for You. I know that the only way this can be done is to be washed in the perfect blood of Jesus Christ. I ask for the forgiveness and righteousness that can be mine through Jesus Christ so that I can be made spotless in Your sight, ready to be received into Heaven as Your perfect bride.

In Jesus, Name, Amen.

God’s Invitation to All People on Earth (Based on John 3:16 and Jeremiah 33:3-8)

Loving Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ Name, thank you for the two most important and life-changing invitations You give to mankind. I have access to many emergency numbers in the physical realm, but none as powerful as the ones in the spiritual universe. Thank you for inviting and directing me to accept the most critical of all invitations, accepting Your Son Jesus Christ as my Savior, which allows me to have a home in Heaven. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (If you need help with this most critical decision, see the salvation tab on our site).

It is a blessing that after I accepted Your initial invitation of salvation, You have invited me, in many places in the Bible, to call on “emergency numbers” (Scriptures) for help while living here on earth. Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to Me and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Just like You assured Jeremiah, direct me to rest in the fact that You are ready to answer my prayers when I ask for assistance. 

Thank you for the many Scripture promises I can call on for comfort and direction in life situations. The following are a few examples: 

  • When I am anxious and lacking peace: Philippians 4:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
  • When I detect harassment from Satan: 1 John 4:4b “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”     
  • When it looks like there is no way through a situation: 2 Corinthians 12:9 “‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’“

I ask, in Jesus’ Name, that day by day You lead me to a new awareness of who You are and who I am in Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer About Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life (Based on John 14:6)

Heavenly Father, I come to You in Jesus’ powerful Name to thank You for His sacrifice on the cross for me. Thank you that He rose again on the third day and washed me clean from my sin, freeing me from being enslaved to it. Romans 6:6-7 “Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin.“

You promise in John 8:32 that You will allow me to know and understand Your truth. “‘And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.‘“ You make Your truth clear in Your Word, the Bible, especially the truth of salvation in Christ alone through faith alone. John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”

Through Your Son, You have bridged the gap between my sin and Your holiness. Ephesians 2:13 “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” This grace is not limited to select groups of people, but is available as a free gift to all who accept it. Direct me to never lose sight of Jesus as the way, the truth, the life, and reassurance of my salvation. Thank you that all who have not accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior can do so freely. Hebrews 10:22 “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.“

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer About God Filling Our Emptiness

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of my Lord Jesus Christ to thank You for how You fill me with spiritual blessings. Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Even from the beginning of creation, You filled the earth with all that we have. Thank you for the ultimate filling You provide for all who accept Jesus Christ for salvation. John 1:16-17 “And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”

It is a blessing to see in the New Testament that Jesus’ attitude was to fill people with good deeds. When Peter was not catching any fish, You told him what to do and he caught many. Luke 5:6 “And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.” When food was needed at the Passover feast, Jesus took care of that need too. Matthew 15:36 “And He [Jesus] took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitude.”

Since Jesus is still in the business of filling emptiness with Himself, direct me to be open to all that He has for me. It is a great blessing to be filled with Your Word, Spirit, truth, and the ways of Jesus’ very life. Open my ears to hear You clearly as You guide me in all my decisions. Show me how to always put You first and do away with the activities that weaken my relationship with You.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 

An Urgent Message and Prayer for Loved Ones and Friends Who Need a Personal, Saving Relationship with Jesus Christ

After listening to a number of pastors like Dr. David Jeremiah preaching about the end times and seeing what is happening in the world, it looks like the time is very near. We have posted this prayer because there is an urgency to reach as many loved ones and friends as soon as possible with the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. They need to be ready for what is coming. 2 Timothy 3:1 “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come.”

Heavenly Father, I come to You in Jesus’ Name to bring to You the names of the following people who are lost and need to invite Jesus Christ into their lives for salvation and eternity in Heaven: [insert names here]. In the powerful Name of Jesus, I ask that You tear down the works of Satan for the people on this list. Show them the destructiveness of false doctrine, unbelief, atheistic teaching, hatred, apathy, the love of the world, lust of the flesh, etc. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”

I desire that You make clear to each person the true meaning of John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” There is no other way to go to Heaven for eternity. I ask that You direct me to share the Gospel with them, or that You send a messenger who is a good witness for Jesus Christ – a person who can help them understand the process of salvation and how to become a child of God.

Jesus, thank you for giving Your life on the cross for salvation to all mankind and providing the joy of the Lord to all who accept and believe in You as their Savior. Amen.

Prayer About Being Prepared for the End of Physical Life

After 46 years of being a born again Christian, reading God’s Word (the Bible), and listening to the teaching and preaching on the prophecy of the end times and Christ’s return for believers, I believe that now, more than ever, we need to be ready. Revelation 22:7 Jesus said, “behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

It is also a critical time for us as believers to share the Good News of the Gospel and encourage our loved ones and friends to be sure they know they have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

In light of the extremely uncertain times we are living in, we are reposting the salvation plan that can easily be forwarded to any you know who are not believers and are not ready for Heaven when the time comes. According to the Bible, the alternative (Hell) is not pleasant.

Before sending this to anyone, we encourage you to click on this prayer link as a guide to pray for your unbelieving loved ones and friends. God’s peace be with you as you think and pray about this information.

Salvation Plan

The decision you make about the following information is the most important decision you will ever make in your life.

The Bible tells us:

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

Fortunately for us, God has provided the answer to our sin:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”’ John 14:6

By sending His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross, God has provided a way for us to have a relationship with Him. A relationship with God is our only way off the path of destruction and onto the path of righteousness that leads to Heaven. This relationship allows us to have the joy of the Lord in our hearts in this life “…for the joy of the LORD is your strength” Nehemiah 8:10.

In order to receive God’s grace, You must do what He instructs in Acts 16:31 “so they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved…”

If you desire to become a child of God, pray a prayer similar to this one with faith in the truth of what God’s Word teaches about salvation:

Lord Jesus, I recognize that I am a sinner, incapable of saving myself. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again. I now invite You to come into my heart. I choose to follow and obey You as the Lord of my life and to turn away from my sin. I place my trust in You as my only Savior and my only way to salvation and I ask You to forgive me of my sins. Thank you, Jesus, for coming into my life and making me new. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” John 1:12

“He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.” 1 John 5:12-13

According to God’s Word, you are now a Christian and a believer. To grow as God’s child, start by reading the Bible (begin with the book of John). Develop your personal prayer life and seek out fellowship with other believers in a Bible-teaching church.

May the Lord bless you as you go forward in your walk with Him.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

God’s Gift to Mankind

We have had many new followers since the start of our blog. Therefore, we are posting the plan of salvation again. The prayer of salvation is the first step required to having God hear all other prayers.
