Father, thank you for the freedom I receive from trusting in the truth of Your Word and that all of the armor You lay out in Ephesians 6:10-17 for fighting the battle Satan wages against believers is held up by the belt of truth.
You are the Truth that sets me free from the consequences of sin and self-deception. In John 8:31-32, Jesus said “…If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Direct me to always accept the accuracy of the Scriptures so that I can be filled with Your truth. While I go through the different seasons of life, give me wisdom and protection from the truth in Your Word for the season that I am in at this time. Encourage me in believing that “…His truth shall be your shield and buckler” Psalm 91:4.
Your Word teaches that You want complete truth to flow out of my life. Have Your Spirit living within me. Make me sensitive to anything that does not reflect Your truth. Give me the grace to live out Ephesians 4:30-31. “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.”
Father, thank you for listening to my requests. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
