These very short, Scripture-based prayers can be used throughout the day to help take you to your next more extended prayer time and assist you in being able to keep in an attitude of prayer. These prayers can also be useful in emergency situations because of the power that comes through praying God’s Word.

How to use these prayers: print them or save them on your phone and use them as reminders to talk to your Heavenly Father throughout the day.

Bring these short prayers in Jesus’ Name.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.”

_______________

The Lord’s Abounding Mercy

Heavenly Father, I come in Jesus’ Name to thank You for Your wonderful mercy shared in Psalms 103:10. “He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities.”

God’s Caution

Lord, I come to You in Jesus’ Name to thank you for the warning in 1 Peter 5:8. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

Transferring Cares to God

Heavenly Father, I thank you in Jesus’ Name for the peace and joy I can experience after doing 1 Peter 5:7. “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Developing Spiritually

Lord, I ask You in Jesus’ Name to develop in me Proverbs 1:5.”A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel.”

Choosing to Serve the Lord

Heavenly Father, I ask You in Jesus’ Name to guide my family and me to do what is said in Joshua 24:15b. “But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Difficulty Sleeping

Comforting Heavenly Father, I come in Jesus’ Name to ask You to remind me to do what David did when I can’t sleep. “I cried to the LORD with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me.” Psalm 3:4-5
