Lord, in Jesus’ Name, I thank You for being my light, my salvation, and my strength in this dark world. Though some may come against me to try to make me anxious, or even destroy me, You have promised that You will not allow that to happen. Verse 1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Like David, I ask that You will direct me to constantly seek after You so that I will be able to enjoy my relationship with You continually.
Do not hide Your face from me when I cry out to You for help, but answer me with Your mercy and grace. Verse 5 “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.”
Father, give me a teachable spirit, then lead me on the path of righteousness laid out in Your Holy Word. Sometimes, waiting for answers is very difficult, especially if there is a long time frame involved. It can seem as if You do not see the urgency of my situation. Forgive me for that kind of thinking because it implies that You are not in control. Instead, help me to see waiting time as a tool that You use to teach me about the many blessings You have for me. Make real in my life Your words in Verse 14. “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!”
I bring this prayer in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Thank you so much for these divine publications. They give me the encouragement to continually seek after my Father and His great love for mankind. Today, I cling to this Love which feeds my soul.
