Heavenly Father, I come in the Name of Your Son, Jesus, to thank You for the victory You provide over fear. You have even given me a way not to have to fear death. I was doomed for the pits of Hell, destined for an eternity of suffering. But then You sent Your Son Jesus to give His life to pay for my sin and provide a way for me to have an eternal home in Heaven. Thank you that all I have to do to have the gift of salvation is be obedient to the instruction in Your Word (the Bible). John 3:15 “That whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” In addition to eternity in Heaven, Your Salvation has freed me so that I can live my life in the present not in fear, but in boldness, proclaiming Your mighty love to the world.
Forgive me for the times when I resort to living in fear. I know that because I am in a relationship with You, there is nothing to fear. There is no problem too difficult for You. Jeremiah 32:17 “Ah, LORD God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.”
Show me how to not be fearful of the things of this world, but rather set my eyes upon You and Your Word. Remind me often of the truth found in 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” I desire for You to enable me to hold fast to these truths in Your Word, giving me the strength and confidence to carry on the life You have called me to.
In Jesus’ Name, thank you for giving me peace instead of fear, Amen.
