Invitation from Jesus

Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ Name, thank you for the invitation expressed in John 6:35. “And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.'”

Inquiring of the Lord

All wise Heavenly Father, I come in Jesus’ Name to ask You to direct me to always do what You told Israel to do in Amos 5:4. “For thus says the LORD to the house of Israel: “seek Me and live.”

God as Our Shepherd

Lord, I come to You in Your Son’s Name to thank You for the promise in Psalm 23:1 that as a shepherd cares for his sheep You care for me. “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

Momentary Discomfort Before Joy

Heavenly Father, I come in Jesus’ Name to thank You for Your promise of joy after momentary discomfort. Psalm 30:5b “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

Filling the Mind With Truth

Lord, in Jesus’ Name, I ask You to direct me to practice Philippians 4:8. “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.”

God Hears from Everywhere

Heavenly Father, I come in Jesus’ Name to thank You for not having any restrictions from where You will hear my prayers. Jonah 2:1 “Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from the fish’s belly.”

God’s Renewed Mercies in Chaotic Times

Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ Name, thank You for Your encouragement in Lamentations 3:22-23. “Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
