All wise Heavenly Father, I humbly come to You through the Name of Jesus, acknowledging that it is only through You that I can obtain true wisdom. You are the source of all knowledge, and apart from You there is no truth. Thank you that I can gain wisdom by studying and trusting Your Word (the Bible) to reveal it to me. Proverbs 2:6-8 “For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints.”

I know when I try to do things in my own strength, it can only lead to disappointment and failure. Forgive me that sometimes, in foolishness, I still try to do things my own way. Direct me to have complete dependence on You each day for Your wisdom and direction. Isaiah 41:13 “For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘fear not, I will help you.’”

Teach me to love Your righteous instruction even through times of discipline. Allow me not to see it as a hinderance, but rather as an opportunity to learn and grow in my faith. Proverbs 12:1 “Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.”

As I read Your Word (the Bible), it is apparent that real success and being able to avoid foolishness come only from reading and acting on the instructions that You (God) lay out. Therefore, I ask You to direct me to be nourished daily from Your Word ​so that You can bring the greatest sense of order in my life.
