Gracious Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ Name, thank you for the privilege I have as a believer to come to the throne of grace. It is such a great blessing to receive Your grace, which is the love and mercy given by You. If I obey You, You will not hold anything back that will help me to live for You. Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Forgive me for the times when I have chosen to live in the world of performance where I try to look to myself to be good enough to manage situations. Sometimes I accept that I am saved by grace, but then act as if works are what will sustain my new life in Christ.
Direct me to continually seek to deepen my relationship with You rather than just seeking Your blessings. Teach me to understand and recognize my limitations and that through my weaknesses, You develop my Christian character. My weaknesses are also the way You develop in me a sense of deep worship and praise. Psalm 34:1-2a “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the LORD.”
Thank you that when I am weak, if I ask, You will fill me with Your power that is stronger than any I could ever have on my own. It is Your power that makes me effective for You.
Show me how to find peace and comfort, as stated in 2 Corinthians 12:9a where Jesus said, “my grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
It is in Your holy Name that I accept Your grace, Amen.
