All powerful Heavenly Father, I come in the Name of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to thank You for the promise in 1 John 4:4b. “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” It is very difficult to know just how to pray about this horrific war going on. I ask the Holy Spirit to take this prayer and present it to You in the correct form. Romans 8:26 “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
Please put Your hand of protection upon all of the hundreds of humanitarian workers who are in danger as they aid thousands of refugees. Give the many who are sharing the Gospel the courage to continue doing that, as well as needed protection. Direct all the believers in Jesus Christ to gain strength and comfort from Isaiah 41:10 and Psalm 46:1. “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
I ask this same prayer for the thousands of Christians in Russia who are against the actions of this war and are concerned about civil war breaking out there. Many are having to hide from their own government amidst fear of what might happen to them. It is my desire for You to take full control of the government leaders in both countries and direct them to bring an end to the war. Thank you for inviting all of us to come to You for help in times of trouble. Amen.
