Heavenly Father, Lord of all nations, I come to You in Jesus’ Name to thank You for the freedom I have here, in the United States of America. Especially in light of what has been happening in the world lately, I am grateful that I live in a country that allows me to worship You freely. Thank you for the reminder in Psalm 22:27-28 that one day all nations will recognize Your authority over them. “All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before You. For the kingdom is the Lord’s, and He rules over the nations.

As I celebrate Independence Day with family and friends, I ask that You be present with us. Direct me to give all glory and praise to You for the significance of this holiday, which is to be grateful for the many who have lost their lives or were injured defending our nation. Thank you for the people You have given me to celebrate our freedom with. Psalm 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Although there is much I love about my country, I confess, like Daniel did, that we have sinned greatly against You, and this grieves my heart as a believer in Your Son, Jesus Christ. Daniel 9:4a, 5I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed…we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.” Please bring the people of the United States back to loving You and each other. Show me how You want to use me to begin that change. Remind me that You have the power to transform our society, and that You will stand with me against a culture of ungodliness. May our flag, which stands for freedom fought for, always be raised high and honored.

To God be the glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, I come in Jesus Christ’s Name to thank You for this special day that we celebrate in the United States. It became famous in history in 1776 when 13 colonies officially declared independence from England. It is special because it is the day the United Sates was formed and became a free nation. Over the years, there have been attempts at trying to destroy and take away this freedom that we enjoy and many times take for granted. I ask that You remind us as individuals, and as a nation, of Your statement in the Bible in Psalm 33:12a. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.

I ask that You start a revival and a spiritual awakening in our nation through forgiveness, repentance, and turning us back to You. It is only by Your mercy, grace, and restoration in our country that we will be able to continue to experience the blessing of the last 200 years. Therefore, I come to You claiming Hebrews 4:16. “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

I also rest in Your promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9a. Jesus said: ‘”My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.“‘ Thank you for the many who over the years have fought and died for our flag, which stands for freedom and liberty, and represents the beliefs of the citizens of this great country.

With all that is happening in our nation this 4th of July, remind us personally and as a nation that “freedom is not free,” and is worth defending and praying for. Encourage us as believers to follow the example in Psalm 118:5. “I called on the LORD in distress; the LORD answered me and set me in a broad place.

In the powerful Name of Jesus, amen.

Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ Name I come to thank You that in 1776 You put it on the hearts and minds of 56 men from 13 colonies to sign the Declaration of Independence for our freedom. We have been able to celebrate this event ever since that day. History tells us that many of these men were believers in You. I ask that You forgive us as a nation and as individuals for ignoring or just forgetting about all of the blood shed for our freedom.
It is because You have blessed us as a nation (Psalm 33:12aBlessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.“) that I have the privilege of experiencing the greatest liberty of all.
That liberty is the blessing of being able to be free from sin and eternal death in hell. You provided this for me through Jesus Christ. John 8:36 “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
In spite of all the chaos, ungodly activity, and false teaching about our godly heritage, I ask that You draw the next generation to Yourself through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  This will help them defend and keep freedom for their future.
Before I start celebrating the 4th with good food, family, friends, and all kinds of entertainment and fireworks, remind me to stop and think about what I am actually celebrating: living in a free nation and being able to worship You as my Creator, Savior, and Lord.
In Jesus’ Name, direct me to follow the admonition in Galatians 5:1Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” Amen.

Gracious Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ Name, I thank You for the privilege of celebrating the history of the many blessings our nation enjoys. Especially the blessing of our nation allowing us to celebrate the greatest liberty of all, freedom in Jesus Christ. Galatians 5:1Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

I am aware that the freedom in our nation has not come without a huge price for many families. Some have lost loved ones or know someone suffering from the horrors of war. I ask that You make them aware of the special blessing of coming to You for help through Jesus. Hebrews 4:16Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

With all the evil and negativity happening in our land and to our people, America is very much in need of prayer. In order to receive Your blessing as a nation, You tell us in Psalm 33:12a what needs to be done. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” Starting with this special holiday, direct us as individuals, and as a nation, to be more dependent on You. We need Your divine protection as individuals, and as a nation, in all areas of life to remain safe, productive and strong. Lead us so that we can continue to be blessed in the future and prayerfully sing the phrase in the song America the Beautiful: “America, America, God shed His grace on thee, and crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea.”

God bless America. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
