These very short, Scripture-based prayers can be used throughout the day to help take you to your next more extended prayer time and assist you in being able to keep in an attitude of prayer. These prayers can also be useful in emergency situations because of the power that comes through praying God’s Word.

How to use these prayers: print them or save them on your phone and use them as reminders to talk to your Heavenly Father throughout the day.

Bring these short prayers in Jesus’ Name.

Resting In God Despite Burdens

Comforting Heavenly Father, I come in Your Son’s Name to thank You for the promise of comfort in Matthew 11:28. “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

God, Everywhere Present

Lord, I come to You in Jesus’ Name to thank you for the encouragement in Joshua 1:9. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Instruction From God

Heavenly Father, I come to You in Jesus’ Name to thank you for the advice in 1 Thessalonians 5:18. “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Invitation to Call On God

Lord, I come to You in Jesus’ Name to thank you for the invitation in Psalm 50:15. “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”

Encouragement to Be Righteous

Lord, I come to You in Jesus’ Name to thank you for the promise in Psalm 84:11b. “No good thing will He [God] withhold from those who walk uprightly.”

God’s Endless Power

All-powerful Heavenly Father, I come in Jesus’ Name to praise You that what Jeremiah said in Jeremiah 32:17b is true. “There is nothing too hard for You.
