All knowing and powerful Heavenly Father, thank you for promising to take all my burdens and cares upon Yourself. You are the one who created me, so ​I know I can trust You with the details of my life. Mathew 6:25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?”

Forgive me for the times when I get in the mindset that if I don’t worry about something, You might think that I don’t care ​about it. Remind me often that this is not the case at all; what You want me to do is loosen my grip on the unknown and learn to hold fast to you. Mathew 6:27 “Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” Show me with Your wisdom and strength how to take each day as it comes, putting my focus on Your plans for me rather than on my own ​plans.

Thank you for Your promise to sustain me day by day. I know that Your plan for me is good, and I look forward to the things You have planned for me. Direct me to rest in Your instruction in Mathew 6:34. “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
