“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Thank you for the promise, encouragement, and comfort in these verses. I want to trust completely in You because my knowledge, understanding, and emotions can be very unpredictable. Direct me to make decisions based not only on my own intellect, but on the wisdom You provide in Your Word, the Bible. You are a far better judge and know what is best in every choice I have to make. It is a great blessing that I can bring all my decisions to You in prayer, use the Bible as my guide, and then follow Your leading.
I acknowledge You as: Jehovah-Jireh (The Lord Provides), Jehovah-Rophe (The Lord Heals), Jehovah-Nissi (The Lord Our Banner), Jehovah-Rohi (The Lord My Shepherd), Jehovah-Shalom (The Lord My Peace), Jehovah-Tsidekenu (The Lord Our Righteousness), Jehovah-Shammah (The Lord is Present), Jehovah-M’Kaddesh (The Lord Who Sanctifies). Reprinted from the 2959 Plan devotion by Peter Lord.
Thank you that Jesus confirmed in Mathew 6:33 all that Solomon said I need to do to receive Your guidance. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” I praise You that as a believer in Jesus Christ, I have the Holy Spirit dwelling within me, and because of that I can actively choose to give You first place in every area of my life. I invite You to accomplish Your purpose for me. Amen.
How wonderful to know we can bring every thing to our wonderful Savior

What a thought provoking and beautiful prayer. Too often I am tempted to rely on self instead of Him! May we all realize that self-sufficient attitudes can lead us away from the Lord. Thank you.
