Gracious Heavenly Father, I come in Jesus’ Name to thank You for allowing me another year to live on this Earth. I ask for Your guidance in the year ahead. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” It seems like this past year went by quickly, so direct me not to forget what You did and what You taught me in 2022.

Bring to my mind, like the stones of remembrance did for Israel in Joshua 4:1-8, the times You moved in my life in 2022. Joshua 4:7 “‘Then you shall answer them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; when it crossed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. And these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.‘” I praise You for the following things that You did for me and through me: _______. I know that I can trust You, the One who never changes. Malachi 3:6a‘For I am the LORD, I do not change:’” You were faithful in 2022, and You will remain faithful in 2023, no matter what my circumstances may be.

I ask that You continue to grow my trust in You. Proverbs 3:56 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Give me the proper perspective to see You at work in my life this new year. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  1. Praise the Lord! Thank for sharing your website with me and your prayers I spend time with God as His child playing and frolicking with joy. I do enjoy Him and His words as well. Thank you for sharing prayers for the new year and reminding of Joshua 4 “stones of remembrance to remind future generations of God drying up a path through the Jordan River for the 12 tribes of Israel to go in and take possession of the promise land.” I am growing in wisdom and knowledge of God spiritual and am seeing Jesus as the promise land, a blessed land, my possession of His promise. It is all coming together! Hallelujah! Sandra Stacey, sanda_42@yahoo.com.
