Heavenly Father, I come in Jesus’ Name to thank You for promising that since I have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, my name will be in the Book of Life at the time of Your future Great White Throne of Judgement. Consequently, I will not be judged for my sin because Christ dying on the cross took care of that. Revelation 20:15And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Since You promise rewards for born again believers at the Judgement Seat of Christ and my works are written down in another book determining what my rewards will be, direct my activities to be what they need to be to lay up treasures in Heaven. Jesus said in Revelation 22:12, “And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

It is a blessing that, in addition to the promises about Heaven, You have given me many guidelines for living life here on Earth, such as promising peace if I come to You for guidance about all my concerns with an attitude of praise and thanksgiving. I ask You to direct me to turn all my worries into prayers so that I can enjoy the peace that only You can give. Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

When I read my Bible, make me conscious of more of Your promises so that I can make a list of them to use when needed. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

God’s Promise to Uphold Believers in Jesus Christ (Based on Isaiah 41:10)

Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ Name, thank you for this verse that You gave to Israel, and all of us who are believers, as Your chosen people. Isaiah 41:10Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” It is a great comfort for me that You, the Creator of the universe, want to encourage me by telling me that You are present everywhere I go (“for I am with you“).

You are also reminding me not to be anxious or worry whether You can handle my life situations. Direct me to focus on You, the unlimited One, who is speaking in this verse (“for I am your God“). In these chaotic and uncertain times we are living in, it gives me peace to know that You promise strength and help (“I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you“).

Direct me to keep in the front of my mind that it is You who holds on to me, and not me holding on to You. Remind me often that it is my responsibility to take in Your Word and be obedient to what You tell me to do in order to develop righteousness in my Christian walk (“I will uphold you with my righteous right hand“). Obviously, You knew that we as Your children would have to deal with many fears throughout life, causing You to reference the subject over 300 times in different contexts in the Bible (“fear not“).

Thank you for encouraging me in so many ways not to fear, but to trust in Your presence to overcome my fears. Amen.

Heavenly Father I come in Jesus’ Name to thank You for the power, peace, and comfort I can gain from Your word, the Bible.

There is no doubt that Your mercies are new every morning.

Lamentations 3:22-23Through the LORD’S mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

No matter what I go through, You are willing to go with me.

Isaiah 43:2-3a When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

Everything You have planned for me is good.

Jeremiah 29:11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

It is a great blessing that I can ask You to renew my strength each day.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Thank you for being my salvation, light, strength, and joy.

Psalm 27:1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

In Jesus’ Name, remind me often of these verses. Amen.

Giving Praise and Thanks to God for Scripture Promises

*** After each verse, think about the main point made and then give thanks to God ***

Heavenly Father, I come in Jesus’ Name to thank You for the many Scripture promises in Your Bible.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

Psalm 103:8-10 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us, nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities.

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Lamentations 3:22-23 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

Lord, I appreciate these promises in Your Word, just a few among many. Every promise in the book is mine. Therefore, I bring my praise to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
