Heavenly Father, I come in Jesus’ Name to thank You for promising that since I have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, my name will be in the Book of Life at the time of Your future Great White Throne of Judgement. Consequently, I will not be judged for my sin because Christ dying on the cross took care of that. Revelation 20:15 “And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Since You promise rewards for born again believers at the Judgement Seat of Christ and my works are written down in another book determining what my rewards will be, direct my activities to be what they need to be to lay up treasures in Heaven. Jesus said in Revelation 22:12, “And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.”
It is a blessing that, in addition to the promises about Heaven, You have given me many guidelines for living life here on Earth, such as promising peace if I come to You for guidance about all my concerns with an attitude of praise and thanksgiving. I ask You to direct me to turn all my worries into prayers so that I can enjoy the peace that only You can give. Philippians 4:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
When I read my Bible, make me conscious of more of Your promises so that I can make a list of them to use when needed. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
